Hey, all you crafty folks out there – please go over and read my entry today at Knitting Passion about keeping our veterans warm. Thanks.

Well, not quite yet – but the temps ARE inching up every day. We were clear up to 34 yesterday! WOOT!!!

And the angel is melting

next to the “old Carr’s Mall” as it is fondly known (more…)

I feel like the famous Ms. White as I point you over to the right . . .

see the new icon? (thanks, Lessa!!) Yup, I have joined the ranks of 451 Press. I am the new Knitting Passion writer for 451. So, I may be calling on some of you from time to time to share your latest knitting tales.

And, now, I am off to the main job. Yay! Tomorrow I get to attend the Job Fair as a representative for the agency. I always enjoy that.

okay – more of you than care to admit remember Roger Miller’s song, Chug a Lug . . . right?

. . . First time for everything
Umm, my ears still ring . . .

Nope, I haven’t been hitting the mason jar – but, who-ee, my ears are ringing again (still). Today I think the Kenai Krud (as it is being referred to by the local medical professionals) has come back and hit me again. Both ears are plugged up and ringing.

Of course, I saw my doc yesterday . . . for my annual blood test report (bloodwork done last week) and med refills. Sigh. BP is elevated (yeah, goes right along with the weight elevation) and THAT could be causing the ringing. Or it could be the krud again. Sigh.

What is worse, though, is that my ldl was a teensy bit TOO high for his liking and so I am now on a cholesterol med also. Sigh!!!!

Gonna have to get back out on the paths again and start walking for my health again. Yup. Just as soon as the ice goes away. Right now I could walk during my lunch hour, but it is only clear for the 3 tenths of a mile up to the highway. Of course – 3 tenths up and 3 tenths up a coupla times and I’d get a mile or two, huh?

Diet – exercise – and meds – the story of my life.

how are you all doing???

Professions which should NOT hire a mumbler – especially if the said mumbler also has a mustache AND a habit of looking at his hands when talking to you instead of AT you so you might have a chance of reading his lips to GET it the first time.

Pharmacy tech.: Good grief, man! Speak UP! I had to ask the guy twice to repeat himself. And, then it was becoming embarrassing for BOTH of us, so I just said okay. Who does that anyway? Who says okay to something when she has no idea what the heck she is agreeing to? (besides me, of course) Too bad I didn’t just ask him to speak more clearly – it really wasn’t a matter of hearing him – well, maybe a bit.
