This week’s challenge from Ms. VV is “Unconscious” – what follows is my answer to that challenge.
————————————————————-

Nathan winced as he opened his eyes, tried to focus. The world seemed much too bright.

“Birds! Wait, birds? Why in the world am I hearing birds?”

Slowly Nathan’s thoughts came together. Syllables – Words – Phrases

Sensation

“Damn, my toes are cold!”

Spasms started at the base of his spine, working their way across his chest muscles. He sat up slowly, remembered. Shelby had encouraged him to go skiing with the guys. When he asked if she was sure she didn’t mind staying behind Shelby laughed.

“I’ve got plenty of stuff to do around the apartment,” she said. “Knock yourself out.”

I’d laugh, but only if I knew if this fella was really ok! Very creative piece, thanks.

Nicely done. 🙂 (Makes me really glad that, when I did theatre, no one ever told me to “break a leg.”)
