Fabled Moosie
Purple Moose waved his rack
Over the barking dog’s back
His antlers filled the sky
Causing the dog to shy
Showing all
That he, whose rack is biggest
Will tonight sleep the best

Trifecta’s weekend challenge: tell us an original fable in exactly 33 words. I checked with the all knowing Wikipedia making sure I knew the parameters of a fable, then came up with the above pithy poem. Enjoy.

way to show the dog and the dawgs in life who’s boss.
I like the metaphor and the last line. well played, Barbara

Nice rack! I’m sorry, I couldn’t stop myself! It’s a good thing moose sleep on their feet, otherwise, the rack would be quite cumbersome on the pillow. Very nice poem.

Works differently for us humans sometimes! The big guy feels safe to close his eyes. Hopefully no one’s sneaking up on him.
