He was a crusty old curmudgeon
Set in his ways
Happy was not a word to describe
How he spent his days
Until
The first grandbaby
Softened his core
Love at first sight

Love watching these tough old fellows melt in the presence of children. Bet he’s the type who will be slipping the grandkids a five dollar bill for the candy store and then, with a wink, telling them not to let their Mom know where the money came from. 🙂

Lovely, warm writing, as usual. Thanks.
