learning – and obeying – the rules

Anyone who has been reading here all winter long knows that I have been helping with Shelly’s Share a Square project. It’s not the first “charity” project I’ve been involved in, but it is the one that has pulled at my heart the strongest and longest.

I still feel that way.

So, I thought I’d post over on ravelry about the project to try to get people to help with the bags.

I should have read the RULZ first – the ones that say something about you being a spammer or a self-server if you post on more than one board about something.

Sigh!

The second post was deleted – with a bulletin that told me why – and I was happy about that. I certainly don’t like to break the rules, you know.

But this evening I received a pointed message from the person in charge of one of the groups to which I posted – she told me she deleted the message beCAUSE . . . of the RULZ about being considered a spammer, and “self-serving”.

Um, gee thanks. I’ll try not to break any more rulz, folks.

In the meantime – I hope that my faithful friends who read here will trust me when I say I am NOT doing this for me – okay?

And, thanks for all that you’ve done to help with the project.

I appreciate EACH of YOU!!!!

Yikes! I understand the rules but I also understand the difference between supporting a worthy cause and being a self serving spammer! Sure wish she would have checked it out before sending you that email.

Some group moderator’s really feel their importance I’d say.
