Is this thing on? I always worry that I’ve forgotten something.
It’s hard for me to tell you these things, Susie, but now it’s time. I’m not your dad.
Your dad is . . . shoot!

33 words! That’s the weekend challenge from trifecta’s wordy editors – write 33 words (only!) in 1st person narrative. Phew!
Oops, technology can suck sometimes.
Oh no!What a bummer! Now Susie will be biting her nails in suspense!Loved this Barbara!:-)
I know exactly how agonizing technology gets at times-my hubby gets exasperated with my, what I call ,”technical disability”-he is an engineer & a total tech guy-ugh!
So typical of technology! Just when you really need it, it malfunctions!
This was fun!
Oh dear!! Very good!
I hate when that happens! Jeez, this is getting really weird.
I’m not the dad, that’s all I know. Beyond that………all bets are off.
Lovely take on the prompt, Barbara. 🙂
Love how you left us hanging! Clever 🙂
Dang! Technology hiccups right when we believe what we’ve created was perfect. Never seem to get it the same.
Oh what a clever piece leaving us hanging… – the unknown – well done!
The one time you want something to work!
Your use of shoot is a bit like a 3rd definition!
This sort of stuff always happens at the worst times, it seems.
Oh wow! Moving and humorous take.
Boy! That rings so true! At my son’s place, he has 5 remotes each designed to do something different when you turn on the T.V. Dah! Well done! Memories are made of this :))
Gah! Where is the rest of this story??
haha, you definently snagged me with those 33 words!
Awww man. Now if they tape broke, that would be just awful! Good one.
What an ending! Don’t leave us hanging. This is a great take on the prompt Barbara – well done!
whoops, It makes me thinkabout cranking a car engine thats already running. You’ll find out soon. lol Good work!
I remember those tape recorder days! My dad even used to have a reel to reel. I love how you build up the tension for the reveal, then throw us a cliffhanger. Great job!
Bravo, Barbara. I love your take on the technology. I get all dithery when I have to leave a message on a phone, so I understand completely.
Sounds very familiar….Diane
Nicely done, Barbara!
What a time for the tape to mess up. Intriguing.
Poor Susie. Now without a father! Nice job.
Technology is such a hassle sometimes.
I love this blog… a clever 33 words…xx
Ha, yes darn technology it really sucks 🙂
Wait…who is her Dad?!? Poor girl. Great job!
lol
Bad timing. Just like when a shockwave crashes or power cuts down before we have saved the drafts while writing a blog. Bummer!
