We had our monthly staff meeting today – one of our presenters was unable to make it, but the director had plenty of business for us to discuss – and many of us came out with assignments to complete (holiday party planning, etc.) :moose:
Prior to all of that, however, was the employee of the quarter (late by a month) announcement. Our bookkeeper was one of two named – the moosie was the other! My goodness – I have been there for 5 years now, and this is the first time I have been chosen. I feel quite – well – I’m not sure what. The things that were said about me were very sweet. I am appreciative.
Now, the bookkeeper and I get to share the coveted parking spot – heh – and we each receive 4 hours of leave time to be taken before the end of October. And, our name gets placed in a frame to be hung in the front office.
Did I mention the coveted parking spot? :moose:
Still feeling a bit under the weather – the head cold slipped into my chestal regions which is resulting in much coughing and gagging. Yuk! I came home midmorning Monday from work and didn’t even make it in Tuesday. Went in today because I needed to turn in my time sheet (hey, a gal knows what is important!!!) and I was overseeing the staff meeting in our education coordinator’s absence. Took it easy, however, and people pretty much left me alone – something about that barking cough that seemed to deter them. hah.
okay – enough fun for now. Paw-Paw Moosie is out shopping with the Boy and the Girl – they are going fishing tomorrow morning and needed (NEEDED!!!) snacks to eat in the boat. lol. Did I ever tell you about the last great halibut fishing trip I took? (speaking of snacks – ewwwww)
