and the Sharing our Gifts Alaska project is drawing to a close. There are still a couple of packages out there in the mail somewhere – hoping to get them by the end of the week so I can take the bounty in to the shelter.
A couple packages came in last week, but with Thanksgiving and all I didn’t get the pictures posted. I will remedy that now.
Cienna sent these sweet hats – a Mama/Daughter duo in pink and white and two multi colored hats that a boy or girl would be pleased to wear.
Check out the colors in the hat and mittens Sarawak made. Bright – cheerful – just what Alaskans need in the cold, long, dark days of winter.
Sarah also included a skein of cashmere yarn – I found a cute hat pattern that includes beads in the knitting. My hope is to knit that up after Christmas – then give it to the Board of Directors to auction off at the shelter’s annual Gala fundraiser.
And, today another envelope arrived from beanly:
So warm! And, I love, love, LOVE the button on the hat’s band. Nice addition to the pattern.
