A recent windy day in Kenai – at the Post Office – tried to get a shot of the wind skittering across a smallish parking lot “lake”.

It’s always nice to find a new read . . . especially if it is from a part of Alaska I have yet to visit.

Such is Living in Alaska, a blog by Susan Stevenson. There are gorgeous pictures and she writes in a nicely upbeat fashion. That is sometimes hard to find at the tail end of a long winter in Alaska. 🙂

I hope you will go on over and visit her little place in the greater blogosphere and enjoy walking through a bit of interior Alaska with her. Since the weather icon shows North Pole I imagine that is her locale – North Pole is just outside Fairbanks.

In other news I seem to have overworked my right wrist. It’s likely due to knitting those precious kitties I’m making for SistrLuv through the Sharing Our Gifts – 50 Projects for 50 States. But I was able to get 6 kitties and a “monser” done before the wrist pooped out on me.

I have put away the needles (sniff) for a bit and am letting the wrist take some healing time. Typing doesn’t seem to bother it too much – which is a good thing since I do a lot of typing for work. 🙂

Lessa loaned me her hot wax soaker so I do those treatments several tmes a day, too. It’ll heal soon.

In the meantime – our spring progresses – warmish days and coolish nights – lots of wind (which helps with the snowmelt, so is welcome) – lots of blue skies – lots of vitamin D. My rhubarb is poking up through the ground and is making me salivate. Yay! Spring is sproinging up all over.
