I make gentle fun of my oldest daughter and her friends. I also make fun of my assistant.
You may well ask why I would do that. Just turn on any news network to hear about the latest craze sweeping the world.
I’ve lived through my fair share of crazes: Beatlemania, troll dolls, etc. I hate to be a fuddy-duddy about it all, but I guess I am. There are bigger things in the world to worry about. I know this craze is helping to take people’s minds off those bigger things. Maybe that’s a good thing.

My son and some of his friends have been playing this new Pokémon game. I’m for anything that gets him outside and moving around. It’s harmless fun. Something I think our nation, the world, needs right now.
My biggest complaint is that otherwise grown adults are playing this game during their work hours. It takes them away from their job for which they are being paid well to do something they should/could be doing on their own nickel after hours.
Otherwise, have fun with it.
I’ve cautioned my son against playing at work, and while driving. Hopefully, he has been following my advice.
Guess I won’t be doing pokeman, I have an old flip phone with no internet, texting apps. 🙂
