Time for Friday Haiku with Lou.

A week of work-outs
My poor knees are feeling it
Not gonna stop me

Back to the gym after (mumble-dy) years – easing into it due to aged knees. A couple of friends had started going and I tagged along with their approval. It’s always more fun in groups.

Toured the Crime Lab
Alaska’s newest and best
Scientific minds

It’s time for Haiku Friday with Lou and I was in Anchorage for a series of meetings. Got home in time to write and post. Yay.

The meetings were held at the brand new Alaska State Crime Lab, which was just opened in June. We were tickled to be given a mini tour. Unfortunately most of the staff were at their own trainings, so not available for questions, but we enjoyed admiring all the new and shiny things. Great minds working there.

Battered and worn out
Touched by both good and bad times
Character times two

It’s Haiku Friday played here in Alaska while Lou and his Love Muffin are off having some beach fun. This is a tribute to HubbyMoose and his beloved (battered) hat. He is my West Virginia born, Ohio raised, Alaska lovin’ cowboy.

Purple Moose waved his rack
Over the barking dog’s back
His antlers filled the sky
Causing the dog to shy
Showing all
That he, whose rack is biggest
Will tonight sleep the best

Trifecta’s weekend challenge: tell us an original fable in exactly 33 words. I checked with the all knowing Wikipedia making sure I knew the parameters of a fable, then came up with the above pithy poem. Enjoy.
🙂

Salmon bright side up
Lemon, garlic, onion, YUM!
Belly up to the plate

Dusted off an oldie (2006) to share with you all. It’s Friday Haiku with Lou and friends.
