And you all know how much I love those !!!!s.

😉

Can’t sit up long at the computer, but wanted to check in and say hello to all of you. I got out of the hospital Saturday afternoon and it was sure good to be back in my own little world again.

Doing really well – I go to the doctor in the morning to get these blasted staples out!!! And I’ll get the pathology report as well – even though both surgeons have said they know it was and that they got it all – it’ll be nice to hear it from the pathologist, too.

THANK you all for checking in and dropping comments and sending cards. I really appreciate it and can feel the love a-coming.

I’ll try to write more tomorrow.

Moosie out

Ok, I am deeply silly because I was reading through here and didn’t there were comments – because I only looked at the end where the Permalink was, duuuh…didn’t read carefully enough at the TOP!
    *smacks head*
Anyway I was wandering around the blogs, reaquainting myself with where everyone’s located and found out you had been going through hospital excitement! SO glad your daughter blogged while you were gone or I would have been really worried – and do great that you’re home now!
Take care and mend well! And er, happy staple removal? That doesn’t sound terribly happy except I know it’s over fast and doesn’t hurt. And means that all’s healing as it should be!
    SO glad you’re ok!

Darnit, that should read “didn’t SEE THAT there were comments.”
Missed comments link and can no longer edit myself, argh!

Sigh. And now I see a few more typing errors. I’m still rusty on this proofreading myself before hitting submit thing, ok?
….Are you still reading? Shouldn’t you be resting?
    Hee hee!

    Yay! Welcome! 🙂

*GASP*!!!! I can’t believe I have fallen so far off the blog radar that I didn’t know about what was going on. I’m sending you giant love and healing thoughts. And there’s nothing I like better than reading about “clean lines”.

glad to hear you’re doing well. be sure to take time to rest up, though, even when you feel like you’re up to running at full speed, you still need lots of time to recover completely.

ahem. will stop being a mom now.

Hi sweetie!!! I’m so glad you’re able to sit up and are feeling better. Believe you me, I know what all of this is like — different reason, but same experience. Let me know if there’s anything I can do or if you want to chat about hospital stuff. I can go on all day about it. Really.

Also glad you’re home. There’s nothing like it in the whole world, eh? Take it easy, huh. No need to rush anything.

One small bit of advice — make sure they get all the staples out the first time. I had to go back 2 or 3 times when I found ones that were left behind. Yuck!

You know, they should honestly make those staples in your choice of colors, and then perhaps give you the option to make little charms out of them after they take them out. I mean, what with everything being so costly anyhow – couldn’t we get some nice jewelry out of it? Or maybe a copy of our scans to decoupage with or scrapbook? They just looked at me funny when I wanted a copy of my catscan to play with in Photoshop. *sigh* I was actually kinda serious, I could have made some humorous images. Oh well, it amused the doctor!

…Um, do realize I’m not entirely sure what these staples look like or how big they are. Though I’m pretty sure that you probably didn’t get to pick a color.

  9. Faith says:

They’re tiny really, about half the size of a regular staple — at least mine were. You wouldn’t really want to save them — bloody with bits of flesh stuck to them. Not very attractive. Really you want a choice of who removes them more than the color. I got attacked by 5 interns at once and had to scream to get them to remember it was a leg, not a pile of papers.

Poor Moosie, look what we’re doing to her comments.

Mom saved them Faith. LOL. I am proud of her. I saved mine too….. 3 1/2 years ago when I had a surgery done. *G* Still have them too. *BEAMS* kids thought they were WAY TO COOL!

this time I wasn’t so “Lucky” if you want to call it that. I only got sterri strips. wow that heals so fast. I was surprised.

yesterday she was in good moods with lots of laughter. 😉
