Haiku!

so the anchorage paper is calling for haiku about salmon – and while I was “busy” sitting at the desk today and unable to do my work in my office, I began doodling them out. Sent them in – here are a couple:

Salmon bright side up

Lemon, garlic, onion, YUM!

Belly up to the plate

———————-

Fly fishing sure beats

Working – the old man spat and

Landed another red

 

fun, huh? ?I ended up with 13 to send. Had to force myself to quit, they were that much fun to write. I’ll let you know if any make the paper.

sigh! It’s snowing – yet again. All together now: hahahahahahaha

NOT!!! Good grief! I drove into the sister town to take a photo of the bridge reconstruction – Brookston Photo Challenge for the week is a bridge – and it was spitting rain – then it began to look white. It was chilly enough for SNAIN (SNAIN = SNOW and RAIN mixed – aka sleet, I guess) and sure enough, SNAIN we began to get.

It’s MAY, people!!!! Bring on the sun, wouldja?

ah well – tomorrow is another day.
