Lolo mentioned making neck scarves in her post yesterday. I commented that wouldn’t it be fun if we all made a scarf (or two – twenty?) over the next ten months and then exchange them for Christmas next year.
So far, it looks like a couple of folks think it’s a good idea – Lo, herself,รย and Raspberry Fruggy. Oh, and then the Ladybug said she could maybe sew something. ๐ I love it when an idea begins to come together.
So, friends of mine, consider this YOUR invitation, too. If you would like to join in, just be thinking about what scarf you would like to knit or crochet (or sew) over the spring/summer/fall. Let me know that you’d like to participate so I can make a list. Then, along about October I will make another mention of this to check up on y’all and make the final list. Then, I’ll do a super-secret matching process to see who gifts whom with their chosen scarves.
Maybe everyone can take photos of their creations – well, the maker AND the receiver, maybe . . . this can be fun. One of my friends (she is a special prayer partner sister in Christ) gave me a “calendar” for my coming birthday (you January babies, said she, are easy to buy for . . .) It is a box filled with 365 daily knitting patterns. Well, some are two day carryovers (yes, I peeked ahead) but there is generally one set of instructions per day.
There are some GORGEOUS scarf patterns in there! I am really looking forward to making several scarves this year. I feel a need for a trip to the fancy yarn store – sadly, we only have one in the area. Maybe when I go back to Anchorage on the 15th I can look up there??????? Yup, I am feeling the need.
Hey, everyone . . . have a wonderful weekend.

I wanna be part of this!! Put me on the list Nana Moose!! ๐
