through someone else’s life.

Isn’t it fun how easily we become enmeshed in the lives of other folks? Of course, anyone of us who blog or who read other people’s blogs understands this tendency quite well. Faith over at Dyslexic Chicken has made mention of re-finding folks and wondering what this or that battle was that separate(s)d her/us from other folks . . .

How easy it is – in some ways it is a good thing because it gets us outside of OURSELVES for a change – in other ways it is a sad thing because we MAY forget how to live our own lives.’

F’rinstance (because you knew there had to be one, right?) I work with someone who lives and breathes a certain “reality” show (the one run by the man with the ‘real, honest’ hair) and she canNOT pass by my office without asking my opinion of this, that, or the other one who WAS fired, or who SHOULD HAVE BEEN fired, or who WILL BE fired next.

I cannot get my work done . . . so I am here telling you all about it . . . shhhhh

But, I admit that I am a tad hooked on the same show – usually. I missed episode 2 due to living my life while visiting my friend in Anchorage last Sunday night – we watched pbs to see the second part to the Virgin Queen (Elizabeth I) and chatted about our real life reality shows.

I think I saw the better show – but I will likely be watching to see who is fired this Sunday night.

sometimes the reality of other people is more interesting than my own . . .

. . . or easier to stand at any given moment. 😀
