So, the youngest grandson broke his foot at AWANAs Sunday night. Nana is very sorry that it happened – but he seems to be doing okay with it. He is in a splint for now, but sees a specialist tomorrow – then we’ll know if all is okay, or surgery needed, or just a cast.
Interesting – there do not seem to be crutches short enough for the little bruiser! 🙁 So, his mama is building up her biceps toting his 50 pounds here and there. 🙂
But . . . he is getting bored – he’s a pretty active little guy – always moving. Now he has to SIT STILL for long stretches. Well, he has to stay off that foot – no weight on it – and that is TOUGH for him.
He’s getting tired of cartoons – and videos – and video games . . . what to do – what to do?
Mama called me – see, she was recently reintroduced to knitting and is learning lots of new things there. So, she wondered how it would be if Zaiah learned how to knit.
😉
She got some yarn and some big plastic needles . . . and this is what came next. My hear is joyful tonight because of this:
love, love, LOVE the tongue action. Why, I look just like that when I knit.
he was so cute. after all this…. he tells me… When i am done learning this. I will teach you how to knit socks like you want to mom. : ) Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I am so smiling. What a cutie pie. I call mine that is that age my Bug. He looks like a cute bug too. Knitting is a great way for him to keep his hands busy. So sorry to hear about his foot though. I hope he heals quick… I love how after every stitch he says, see Grandma, I’m knitting. Precious.
I’m sorry that he broke his foot…but learning to knit is so totally wonderful! Did he manage doing it by himself before the day was out? The “tongue action” was adorable … I love when kids get so caught up in work that they start moving that tongue back and forth. AND, he said, “thank you!” He’s adorable.
