Monthly Archives:January 2010

Only two days and check out how quickly he has picked up the habit.
😉

and, yes . . . turn up your sound – I love his sweet little voice.

So, the youngest grandson broke his foot at AWANAs Sunday night. Nana is very sorry that it happened – but he seems to be doing okay with it. He is in a splint for now, but sees a specialist tomorrow – then we’ll know if all is okay, or surgery needed, or just a cast.

Interesting – there do not seem to be crutches short enough for the little bruiser! 🙁 So, his mama is building up her biceps toting his 50 pounds here and there. 🙂

But . . . he is getting bored – he’s a pretty active little guy – always moving. Now he has to SIT STILL for long stretches. Well, he has to stay off that foot – no weight on it – and that is TOUGH for him.

He’s getting tired of cartoons – and videos – and video games . . . what to do – what to do?

Mama called me – see, she was recently reintroduced to knitting and is learning lots of new things there. So, she wondered how it would be if Zaiah learned how to knit.
😉
She got some yarn and some big plastic needles . . . and this is what came next. My hear is joyful tonight because of this:

love, love, LOVE the tongue action. Why, I look just like that when I knit.

While’s hubby’s sleeping (he works nights for now) Moosie’s knitting quietly.

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day found me happily knitting away on the new year’s first finished objects.

Here are Anna’s Mittens (that’s the name of the pattern . . . I would call them MOOSIE’s Mittens. haha)

Why, yes . . . they ARE purple.

Got the patten from Spillyjane’s – she is charging less for the pattern during the month of January. These are the featured mittens I mentioned in my previous post.

After those were finished I finished a project for my pal Faith . . . well, for her little boy, HB. I give you Jacques Crusteau. This is a free pattern from Petite Purls’ Summer issue.

Jacques is winging his merry way to New York while Moosie’s Mittens are keeping me warm and happy in Kenai’s frigid temps.

And, on the needles I have a pair of socks for a fellow ravelry.com member.

So, what are you all up to today?
