Yup, been snapping shots from the car – and around the car. Travels in and around the Kenai Peninsula can be way too much fun.
🙂
Took hubby to Anchortown last week to see his diabetic doc – and was glad to have the camera handy while driving through town.

Don’t you feel much safer knowing the Alaska Spy is on the job? Lessa tells me her hubby used that moniker (well, the Spy part) on his tax forms every year.

Bad monkey was caught at a traffic light – but was pulling away before I could get a really clear shot – the tag made me giggle so had to have the shot. And, Woopig was seen at our chosen dining spot. I have to admit I totally missed WHY until I saw a sports thing on tv later and heard the razorback fans chanting woooooooooooooooPIG! My little lightbulb went on and I said aha!

Of course I am always watching out for moose sightings:

These stylish moose were marching along the Kobuk Coffee Shop building downtown.

Safely back home again – spotted a cool car driving through town.

Hubby thinks it might be one of those kit cars. He could be right.

A trip to wally-world garnered the last two pictures. I used to ride so I love to see evidence of other women riding. I understand the owner of this bike works in the store and calls it her personal BOB. (Ask your kids if you don’t know what that means.)

Love it. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

  1. How funny! I rarely read license plate tags, but now that’s all I’ll be doing :-). I’m afraid if the two of us got in the same car with our cameras we would cause an accident on the freeway. I was trying to snap the Golden Gate Bridge through the windshield, & I think my husband was ready to shove me out the door!

It’s even worse for me, Shelly, ’cause I’m the one who’s driving! 🙂 Would love to join you on a photo snapping tour. I promise, we’d pull over (from time to time). 🙂

I read tags all the time – there seem to be a LOT of them in Alaska. They cost more than I want to pay so I have a plain jane tag myself. I get a titch upset if I can’t figure out what the tag is trying to say, I have to admit.
