Mommy read a story
to help me rest today
about a cow who
jumped over the moon

Was that you?

Did you bring me
some cheese
and bring back
the dish and spoon?

  1. I hope for the little girl’s sake that this was the same cow.
    This is a cute entry.

A cute monologue poem. I like brevity, but that restrictive word count is nearly a step too far for me!

  3. Jester Queen says:

You know, I always wondered what happened to the dish, spoon, and cow, at the end of the poem. The cat, obviously, kept playing the fiddle. Now we know about the cow. Dish and spoon….still a mystery, perhaps to be solved in a future trifecta

  4. This made me laugh…my boy always wants a bedtime snack…cute and love the spin on the old classic rhyme!
