lol well, missing the days before FaceBook when all of my internet friends were bloggers. It was so hard to explain to people I knew . . . including family members . . . that, yes, they were REAL people. I miss those days of blogging and chatting. I went on a blog walk tonight and found that several of my friends were no longer posting . . . some of the sites no longer exist. Others are still there, but not posting.

Facebook just doesn’t cut it sometimes. A lot of these friends are there and I am thankful for that. I do consider you – them friends. So, if they are not posting I wonder why and worry a bit.

Our world today . . . it in and of itself is worrisome. On the local front we have politicians doing – shall we say – interesting things. On a state level it is even more so. In fact we are in a signature campaign to recall the governor. On a national level I can only shake my head. (don’t get me started)

The best thing about blogging was that I flexed my writing skills and took part in different writing prompts and challenges. These days most of my writing is in the technical realm – work calls ya know?

These days I dink around on FB, and get my peaceful times down by the river at the boat harbor during lunch hours. I also stand taller and fight back so to speak. All of those political issues I mentioned above? Yup, coming into my own at age 69 . . . quickly approaching 70. I have walked in protest – walked in honor – walked in memory – I’ve signed petitions – I’ve written my representatives locally and nationally – I’ve spoken face to face with them as well.

My grandmother was a “gray panther”. I followed hers and my mother’s footsteps in writing and now I follow them in this manner also.

Life goes on. Life changes. And, apparently I just ramble on. laughing.

have a great night, friends.
