Here’s a little peek into what we’ve made a Saturday habit this November: it’s NANOWRIMO time. Lessa and Peppermist are taking part . . . I tag along to make fun of, erm, help them – yeah, THAT’s the ticket – HELP them.
🙂
I take pictures, offer suggestions for names for those pesky characters who simply MUST join in on the fun, wipe tears and offer giggles . . . I am the support system for the lessapeppernanogirls. Yes, yes, I am.
Did I mention I take pictures?
Here are the writers in full NANO-mode . . . add in some coffee and they are happy campers. Love Funky Monkey atmosphere and coffee. You should join us – you don’t even need to be writing – you can help me in the aforementioned support mode.
Yeah, support, yeaaaaaahhh . . . oooh, break for lunch. What are we having – and arent you wishing you had joined us now?
I had potato chowder – Peppermist had a chicken panini – Lessa had Anna’s grilled cheese. Yummo!
Now, back to writing – among the human-kind in the restaurant we are joined by some mascots.
The first is the “rubber chicken” I carry in honor of friend Faith (formerly of NYC – currently in the warmer climes of FL). The second is one of the monkeys surrounding us in the coffee shop. Funky, eh?
Well, back to editing the spelling of da girls – the spelling fairy passed them over at conception, apparently, so they have me. Hope you enjoy your Saturday – no matter what it is you are doing.
Sounds like fun what exactly do they write?
Also love the hat! He’s my fav!
Linda, if you ask daughter what she is writing she will answer “drek” – aka meaningless drivel. Granddaughter will say the same.
I, on the other hand, LOVE the stories they are weaving. I think both are sell-able to the teen/young adult reading crowd. Some language would need to be cleaned up, likely, (potty mouth express) but a good editor can help with that.
Daughter self-published her first nano book, but needs a good publisher to pick it up. I think THIS year’s is even better.
see? Cheerleader I am.
