Well, not quite yet – but the temps ARE inching up every day. We were clear up to 34 yesterday! WOOT!!!
And the angel is melting
next to the “old Carr’s Mall” as it is fondly known
some of the icicles dripping off her dress.
These were taken Tuesday. I noticed yesterday on driving past that the angel had lost her head. Yup, sure sign of spring.
Oddly enough – I never noticed these ice sculptures when they were whole. It wasn’t until the ice started crumbling that it caught the sun and that caught my eye enough to make me want to go into the lot and get the pics.
This building currenly houses Job Service.
Which brings me to another topic . . . the annual Job Fair. As part of my job each year I get to go to the Job Fair and represent our agency. I hand out information about what we do and upcoming trainings and such. We generally never have a position open at the same time as the job fair. This year is no different, however, one opens Monday. So I am able to tell everyone to check the job center’s web page and our web page for updates.
Of course, I really don’t want anyone else to apply, because I plan to do so myself. It is pretty much the only job that is not a slide across the floor pay wise for me. And, at my evaluation at the beginning of the month, my boss suggested I might apply for it should that position open up again. Maybe she “knew” something – or maybe she was just thinking ahead. Whichever, I am polishing up my resume in order to turn it in next week when the position opens. And, mind you, just because she suggested I apply – in no way assures that I will be given the position. Her interviews are nerve wracking!
Enjoy the day – I have a new entry over at 451 press – click the link on the right over there. I am off to the fair – the job fair, that is.

Funny how we can miss things right in front of us sometimes huh? 🙂
I get a kick out of watching the shapes that snowmen get into while they melt…their carrot noses wilt and look like limp something else’s 😉
