They didn’t even stir when I took the photos. We had to wake them up to go on with Gramps to school. Gotta love that French toast, right? Right

Figured I had best get in here and post or you would wonder what I was doing with all of my time – heh! At least I didn’t say “spare” time, right?
This is the week of the big semi-annual training. We give it to new staff members, board members, people from other agencies, and general public. In the time I have been with the agency I think our largest class was 7. We had 16 today! And, we had 23 pre-registered!!
It always happens that we lose some between registration and the first day, but SIXTEEN! My boss is well pleased.
Usually I only have one or two places where I speak to the students. This time I have four. Plus, as the peson who does all the “scut” work I am in the room most of the time. It is part of my job to make sure the students sign in every morning, that they have paid their fee the first morning, that the coffee is made and the tea water is hot, that munchies are fresh and available, etc.
Today I talked about the agency history and mission, and about the program I oversee. Tomorrow I will do two different presentations – one for the first time, and only because the usual presenter is in Anchorage for a conference. Friday I will do another presentation, plus make sure all of the loose ends are tied up and the students know what their next step might be.
okay – I don’t spend a lot of time on You tube – don’t have that much time to spend – but I can see where folks could get addicted to seeing funny after funny –

loved the little girl with the flying toast. Infectious giggles – and who hasn’t heard that particular whine when the toast won’t go back into the toaster fast enough, huh?

It’s really not fair, you see. I was sick for three weeks with what is fondly known as the “Kenai Crud” complete with ears being plugged and sinuses either dripping or cottony. (not sure which is worse).
I got better – actually was feeling pretty well.
and then . . .
Woke up yesterday feeling like I was getting it again – sure enough tonight I can no longer breathe through my nose – my eyes are watering and hot feeling – and I am just miserable.
In other news . . .
I interviewed today with my boss for a different position in the agency. It went very well. I feel good about the interview. I am cautiously optimistic about the position, too. I’ll keep you posted.
