The Awakening – a sculpture near the Potomac River. Grandson (that’s him under the knee of the awakening giant) and I have just returned from his 8th grade history class trip to Washington DC. (see previous entry for more information on the trip)
I don’t like to go back into my archives for photos for the challenges, so looked through the DC pics and chose this one for the theme. The kids were challenged by the Course Instructor to decide what the artist meant by the sculpture. Your thoughts?
