Hitchcock, that is . . .

Good eeeeev’ning . . . Oh, man! could he send a chill down your spine or what?

anyway – hope you are all well. Hubby and his buddy . . . it is like listening to a coupla little kids, I tell ya. Well, that is partially because they have known each other since 3rd grade. An awful lot of “remember whens” pepper their speech.

We drove through Old Town Kenai this morning after breakfast. Well, actually, we started by going to my workplace where I introduced T to my boss. Told him a little about the agency and the work that we all do there (and impressed him, btw). Then we went to the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center to see the museum display and the summer art show. T was very impressed with all of the old stuff and the stuffed animals on display and the like.

After that we drove through Old Town and pointed out the Russian Orthodox Church and my favorite little building:

which I have shown here several times.

Then I was dropped at home and they took off for some boy time together. Went out and visited a friend of hubby’s and I don’t know what all else they did – might be a good thing I don’t, too. 😉

The mail came and I received my new Turbo Jam dvds from Beach Body. Now, I had already done one of the workouts from The Biggest Loser dvd, the Strength and Sculpt portion, but that was this morning and this was this afternoon. So, I opened the TJ packaging and read through the information and plugged in the beginner dvd and did the Learn and Burn portion.

gonna feel those abs tomorrow. Between the two . . . 😉 yep, we’re having fun, now.

Got cleaned up again and the boys came home – “want to go for a ride?” – and so we did. Out to the cannery where hubby moose and I lived our first winter in Alaska, and then to the one next to it, which is now a series of shops and restaurants and theatre and the like. It’s a bit early in the season – not all of the shops are opened, but we did wander through the historic buildings and take in the ambience. Took some shots of the river – will download and then upload tomorrow – and the surrounding buildings.

Drove a little way down to the beach and watched a set net – maintained by the Kenaitze tribe – put back into the river. They had taken a couple of salmon out of the net and were getting it back out for the next set. (thus the term set net) Talked with a fellow from New Zealand who was so excited to have seen the net pulled in and set back out. It’s a joy to meet excited and interested tourists.

After a short drive to pick up dinner (not sure exactly why I went grocery shopping Saturday!!!) and then home. Now the boys are out and about again.

I’m glad they are having a good time. It is back to work for me in the morning – only to see them each evening until Sunday when we will be able to share part of the day together. Then I will have to work again all next week because of a presentation I am giving Monday and Tuesday. He leaves from Anchorage on Thursday the 22nd – they will likely drive up Wednesday the 21st.

Well, someone has to work, right? Right. 😉

have a great evening everyone –
