These blankets are for a charity project through the Sharing Our Gifts project on ravelry. The solid blue is a premie sized blanket and the variegated is newborn size. They will be going to a hospital in Ohio.

The second shot is a closeup to show the pattern stitches in the two blankets. (click for larger views)

Also finished today – an Ogre My Ogre hat – a pattern I found on ravelry. This was at the request of the youngest grandson’s first grade teacher. He has one and she wanted one to wear with him. (love!) I also added flaps to a hat for the Pup. She gave me one of her fave hats way back before Christmas and asked me to add flaps. Hope she likes getting it back. 🙂

What’s the pattern for the newborn blanket? It looks almost like the one my grandma was making when we were there yesterday. I knit (and crochet 😀 ) too, and I’m on ravelry, plus my group (that I own and started) for crocheting in my area is on both Yahoo and Facebook (though my co-owner started that one). I had my project too, one that I had also made to put in with my mother back in January, and she said the best thing (both for my grandma and period)—that she’d get me yarn so I could make HER one too. I know she loves me because of how she is about some of my crochet or knitting projects 😀

(sorry about the novel! 😉 )

Hi, Allison. Thanks – I made the small blanket awhile ago and it has been waiting for the right project to be given away. I can’t recall the pattern – but it is a simple stitch – looks like 8-10 rows of garter stitch and then 4 or 5 rows of stockinette. It’s already been sent off so I can’t check for sure.
    🙂
